As a more Saeko-type person I get very irritated by Miwa-types as well. The cousin I am closest to is like that, always fake-smiling and laughing to make other people comfortable even when she's unhappy. I would like it if she improved on that and stood up for herself more. But if anybody else said that to her, especially in front of other people I would punch them in the face!!!

I agree with @Purplelibraryguy that there are just a type of "too cool for you" people who want to say rude and blunt things to feel good about themselves and then just say they're "just being honest" as if they are above social convention and consideration for other people. It is very immature.

I appreciate that this manga shows us so many messy, unreliable, confused people in their early 20s, trying to become adults. It is very realistic. As long as you're trying your best to fix your flaws and become a better person you'll make progress and find other people you fit with too. Maybe Saeko and Miwa won't end up together, but that doesn't mean them going out right now is a mistake.

I will be recommending this to so many people once it comes out licensed (next week I think?).

I figured they wouldn't. I don't want to blame Miwa because it's not fair but it feels like Sae is the one who wants the relationship more than she does. If I was Saeko I would grow tired of it and walk away.

I don't see the point of reading this if their relationship is doomed. It would have been cool to see Miwa and Sae try to grow and make it work, but then again they are two college kids. They seem destined to be friends with benefits and nothing more.

Miwa is just wasting Saeko's time. I hate people like that.
