Did you get bumped when setting the text down?,'cus that's the only thing I can think of that could offset the text that much.
Anyhoo,your font,which turns out to be the real Comic Sans,is perfectly acceptable,instead of those wannabe Comic Sans fonts.
And yes,making them all capitals is fine too,since you're also using larger font and bolding to represent emphasis when need be,feel free to use italics as well.
You do not have to worry about one or two characters overflowing the edge if you don't have space to Enter them down a line,people can still read them,but if you can hit Enter,then do so,it's the simplest fix due to the vertical nature of Japanese bubbles.
Don't worry about making text look wider in the middle of an oval,negative space in a bubble,nor do you have to worry about the current resolution,since they're all just headaches you don't need to worry about.
Just keep doing things at a nice pace and you'll be fine,no need for other aspects.

i do recommend you change "natsuko" to kanata.
both are valid readings, although i guess "kanata" would make more sense, since Kanata's girl name is "kana-san", which is just kanata but without the "ta"
