Frequently ,I get updates for a manga chapter that I have already read, turns out it a upload of the same chapter as translated by another translator ,is there a way around this?

@ryoarise No. You could block that second group, but then you won't see their other translations.

Let me just cut you off here and tell you that such a feature has been suggested many a time and is always rejected. Any suggestion for how to implement a feature like this "solves" one problem and makes several other problems worse.
It would encourage shitty google translate speedscans and discourage any sort of actual time and effort. It would magnify any and all potential scanslation drama. It may seem like a worthwhile sacrifice for people who can't remember what groups they do and do not like or can't be bothered to check the title page for contended series, but for everyone else, especially those coming in after the dust settles, it Certainly Is Not

Ok,I do agree that it could potentially worsen scanslation drama, but even with bad Google translate speedscans, do you reread the same chapter again for better quality? By adding this feature wouldn't it let you identify which group you want to follow for a particular manga, essentially letting you escape from clickbait speedscans.

Just my personal opinion.
Because there are so many translation groups that post the diff translation for the same chapter of the manga. If you follow many mangas then It becomes impossible to know and remember which group does the better translation.

Absolutely, yes, 100%. I would even avoid the trash translations whenever possible, but maybe that's because I sometimes like to read things that have a complex narrative and a bad translator can completely invert the meaning of a sentence.

See, there's the problem. An implementation that would work like that specifically is more complex and unwieldy than it would first seem. First of all, it would make the series drop off your follows feed forever once the particular group you selected drops it, trying to fix that issue will cause more issues, and in the end it's most certainly a database killer

edit: repeated words
