If you want to publish a work you've created yourself on MangaDex, you will need to hop on the MangaDex discord and DM a mod there (anyone with a red name) with the request and a few sample pages of your work.
(Discord is the fastest way to get it done, but you can also DM a mod on the forum or send an email if you're particularly against using discord.)

If accepted, they will explain to you what the next steps are you will need to perform.

The sister site NamiComi is more intended to host self-published content.

Also, NamiComi creators have some extra benefits here in MangaDex, like being able to request automated outlinks to chapter releases over there, as well as instant green light for new title entries, no questions asked (NamiComi has stricter guidelines than us, after all)

All of this on top of the regular benefits from both platforms (like the rights to your content belonging to you instead of the platform, which is the opposite to how platforms like Tapas or Webtoon work)

P.S. You can also setup Patreon-like tiers in NamiComi (the distribution as of right now is 90:10, just enough to cover operational costs and payment provider fees)
