So how exactly do orcs work? What downside do they have? Why are they used only at night? I'm guessing they die after a night, and thats why they need so many of them, but maybe its just night visions also.

@TimeVolt lol why would you think they die after a night ? you think a baby orc turns into a adult in less than 24 hours ? guess they use them for war or something besides being guards. they have no night vision, they are blind. the author didn't really think this through, without vision they would need to have some kind of echo locaiton or something in order to be useful. just charging towards sound is useless they would stumble about and crash into walls its stupid.

@fall19 I don't know, it was just an idea. Also, not a day, they just make one every day and so there is always a stream of adult orcs maturing and going on guard duty. Ah, that makes sense, and what I meant was, they have weak eyesight so they can only reliably see things at night, kinda like a sunlight sensitivity trait, but blindness kind of makes sense too, because they ARE horrifying abominations of nature, do you really think that they'd be the best functioning creatures they can be?
