This is good and all (and the art is great!) but... weak MC is weak. Nothing is gonna change that. I am ALL for underpowered MCs but an outright WEAK MC is UNBEARABLE. Especially! If his VERY FIRST adversary is a buff, agile, powerful motherf*cker of a beast who has LITERALLY trained all his life for this very moment. Okay, calling MC weak might be an exaggeration but we don’t have a SINGLE idea on how strong he is. He has potential. And potential is only valuable if he lives up to it. AND LIVING IS VERY MUCH A PROBLEM RIGHT NOW! If MC wins, it’s dark voodoo magic plot armor witchcraft. If MC loses then perfect, that’s exactly what should’ve happened. It’s like throwing a random guy off the street into a Pro MMA ring and expecting anything but an ass whoopin’. Not to mention, more buildup was absolutely necessary. Being thrown into a life threatening battle in chapter two with quite literally NO INFORMATION is a real nut punch that actually missed its mark but still landed in my guts. The action scene in chapter one was great but I just want more grandma action (not that way) and MC is not gonna be delivering that ANY TIME soon unless he breaks the rules and is suddenly OP as all hell in which case why am I reading this? Tl;dr I’m 2 AM dead tired and wanted to rant because this story makes no sense
