If Chrollo's able to hit him this many times in a row... why didn't he use anything lethal? He just kicked him. If he'd had a knife in his shoe, that kick to the back of Hisoka's head would have cleaved his skull and destroyed his brain. It's like he doesn't actually want to kill him.
@KelptheGreat I got 2 possibilities for you
1) first is what you mentioned and chrollo just doesn't want to kill hisoka
2) what I think is likely happening - hisoka is probably reinforcing his durability with nen, protecting him from lethal attacks. Chrollo's attacks are also strengthened by his nen so aren't just normal kicks. Togashi probably didn't draw this because nen strengthening is usually a given in most hxh fights and he doesn't have the strength himself to draw it. Also, chrollo's vanity is a big part of his character imo (he literally revealed his abilities lmao) and would probably never resort to something like a knife. Chrollo's pride probably makes him want to kill hisoka with one of his revealed abilities so I think he's just weakening hisoka for a big finish.
... I swear one that second one better be correct because otherwise I just wasted 10 minutes of my life lol

But still.
that Chrollo ends up killing him for real just a few chapters later.

Not trully a very important matter, but nen-fighters don't go out with normal weapons around. Better stick to what you have best, and fully trust your abilities, instead of trying to fiddle secret weapons and such tactics.
I believe (shown by other fights) that Nen-user must be confident in their own capacities and chosen weapons. So it kind of goes against the whole ethos of refining nen to use anything else.
Besides, putting Nen on weapons probably takes longer and more aura than just your fist, so it is dangerous, for in a fight you must have to quickly switch focus on body part and whole body. Putting and receding aura from other objects must take more time (if that is not your specialty).
I also think Chrollo want to totally win here, that means using his best personal ability. Spiders have, after all, shown that if you fail that is your fault and lack of skill, so each one must count on themselves. If Chrollo just wanted Hisoka dead, I'm certain the Spiders wouldn't mind offing him all together.
Anyhow, I love this fight. Poor audience... And not knowing Nen it must be all very weird
