shut the fuck up
I ain't even sayin it's bad necessarily, just expect to see "cancelled" within the next few months.

Always happens to series where the author is trying super hard but the story has a kind of forced quality to it. Doubly so if the art is good but lacks confidence.

Maybe being a web series can save it.

It's people, meteoria is people.
Anyway, place your bets, meteoria is:
1) Aliens
2) Byproduct of humanity
3) Planet's original inhabitants
4) Planet's antibodies
Aliens.
This has Lovecraft written all over it. The name also suggests something that comes from beyond earth.

The question is the twist, my bet is prolonged exposure to the coal smog will cause mutation and death, in death a metamorphosis into an egg. With adaptation as the overarching theme I get the feeling the aliens consumed all life on their last planet and when the planet itself died they left. The reason they're found underground and only in a specific region is because that's where they struck long ago. To preserve themselves they hibernated with some having greater success than others who either died on impact or fossilized over time.

Just my stab at it though

A jinx is what superstitious people use to shut down others when faced with uncomfortable information.

Dude has a point. It has all the earmarks of a series that'll get axed. I hope it doesn't, it's cool as fuck but if you've been around long enough, you'd know they're on the mark.

"Ice core meteoria" gives you lovecraft vibes? What's key for this to be lovecraftian is to make humanity insignificant compared to the meteorians. To me it looks quite the opposite with the way the meteorians are being used to fuel society.

Could be aliens but this borrows much more from classic kaiju tropes than from lovecraft. I'm betting on a kaiju manga but with a steampunk skin. The implanted meteorian cores are just this mangas version of mecs or whatever power humanity uses to fight kaijus.
