ah damn, a little bit of hope. I'm sure she either turns completely or dies heroically. Or both! Stories like to do that sometimes.

Also, can I just state that, by all quantifiable means, they are not acting rationally by keeping her alive, changing her, and feeding her? She is so much of a risk to keep in the car, and then they do things like letting her gag off to straight-up help her eat food. But, because it doesn't go wildly off the rails within five panels, everyone in the comments is on board somehow. This just shows how dumb the idea of purely rational decision-making in a zombie apocalypse is. If humans made only rational long-term self-interested decisions we wouldn't have a word for "rational" because it would be the only type of thinking we knew.

Also, everyone in society would be like the people on 2chan.

I'm not sure why I said that either... I think I was making a point about how irrational thinking should be expected, understood to be irrational, then accepted? I made it in a weird way though that makes it sound like I'm against them doing it, which like, it's been years but surely I wouldn't have made that point.
