I understand chinese somewhat so I skimmed through the raws. I thought it was a good read. The pacing isn’t slow and Xiao Yue is very cute.

By skimmed I mean read the main conversations and ignored the meaningless rants.

Well i guess this answer my question. Since the cash isn't the same it either means it's indeed not the same world or really far in the future when the currency was changed.
