It's incredibly cringe how so many of these chinese (and to a lesser extent korean) manhwa are obsessed with wealth and obtaining women with said wealth. Like 90% of their non-wuxia power fantasy series are like this, and the romance stories also almost always involves a very wealthy ML (very rarely FL)
