Is she really not going to question what he did? It's one thing to have enough pull with an old friend to convince him to negotiate with the family he married into (and no other), even to only negotiate with his wife.
It's another thing entirely for said 'old friend'(was it the same person? It looked like it) to immediately come at his beck and call to give him what said friend specifically called His (the husbands) bank card to buy every piece of clothing in the store.
You'd think his wife would have a LOT more questions, especially since as far as she knew he was just a hardworking house husband (which reminds me, did he really never use any of his vast fortune he'd amassed? Where did his wife think he got the money for what he did buy?)
