I honestly wouldn't of minded if the manga was only about the trap and his relationship with the boy, it was seriously better than the actual plot.

Not gonna lie, the fact that there are in-universe figurines of themselves is just bizarre. And the fact that the male version of the MC has one, a figure of a girl he's crushing on, just seems really creepy & stalkery to me. And I feel like that's NOT what the author was going for....
