You never know how you'll react to a dangerous situation until you're in one, but I'll try to speculate. Probably run away and hide until my own home or families home is in danger. Then I like to think I would transform to stop whatevers targetting it. Sitting back and letting the creatures destroy the country would be too selfish to live with.

I like this work, because so few others are exploring the egoistic side of us humans very often. The villain is egoistic and tempts the hero, but the hero rebukes the villain and wins over them. But not here.
