From the fact that late awakeners are rare, it's probable that a key is often not required - if it even exists in the first place.
As for whether it is given, probably not because otherwise all anybody needs it to touch a Parvis and they get it.

To be honest it sounds a bit shit that she might require the bitch's help to gain her powers. I hope a different method can be found.

These are just my speculations so please don't take it as spoilers.

So basically what I'm getting from this is, when the parvis family has 2 daughters, only one of them can manifest her power "naturally", but by resonating they can share the ability with their sisters.

Cosette or whatever her name was is probably also a genuine daughter of the duke. From the prison scene I'm sure that Cosette manifested her power first, and went in to resonate with Keira to show her the spirits.

For Cosette, I can somewhat guess that Keira's grandfather did something to frame her mother, and she did all the bullshits for revenge. Their father (I can't even remember his name lol) after losing Keira realize how he was fooled and contracted the magician dude in order to allow Keira to regress.

i have a question: during chapter 5 seems that everybody is able to see spirits when 'summoned' by the spirit user
now it seems that only spirit users can see them
but how the people can verify if a person is really a spirit user?

From what I remember from previous spoilers, Cosette technically is the duke's daughter except her body is being inhabited by a demon instead since the og Cosette already died as a baby. She and her mom were assassinated because of Marquis Edinburgh (Keira's maternal fam). Soooo yeah that's why she was able to see the spirits lmao, she's a true Parvis.
