Our MC definitely needed more skills in the human/emotional/psychological aspect, that's why that blonde b1tch was able to succeed so easily, being a leader is not just about having the intellectual skills, she needed people, trust, love (not just from his father and yeah, the dad seems to have brains but it's obviously not the best option to be focused on, just some cheap tricks and he already distrusted his daughter... oh well, he obviously never really trusted her).
