Considering how this genre is, i'd be surprised if she doesn't get kidnapped at some point.

Adult supervision wasn't really a thing back when I grew up. It's quite a modern idea. If a child was gone for too long, you'd ask the neighbours. Or in one village, they'd make a call on walkie-talkie for family members who're late for dinner.

Is she f*cking mental? She just goes alone to see the mad scientist that abused her in her past life? Like he wouldn't just kidnap or hurt her right then and there?
The characters overall have felt a little weird (like not very natural?) since the beginning but the author really just wings it with this one, it makes absolutely no sense.
