Although I’m going to stick with reading this, I often wonder what the impact is in readers who see the fat means ugly trope or you must have clear skin all of the time to be considered beautiful. I also really, really dislike suicide as a plot device.

I know this would be a different story, but sometimes I wish that they’d stick with the original character and show what growing in self-love and self-worth looks like rather than the whole new character possesses the body and self-esteem issues almost immediately get addressed...

A lot of this could be triggering and I hope this doesn’t negatively impact people.

@toolep2 I do actually agree but I personally enjoy these plots because there's the sense of satisfaction of completely changing and going above the expectations of people around the mc too. I think the posession gives way for an immediate effect and therefore adds an impact or dramatic change because they're entirely different personalities.

Though I say all that, your comment made me think of how her self-esteem issues could have been resolved if the original character was the mc. It was difficult to imagine considering how she basically had no one on her side but thinking of how she could've found emotional support from someone like her maid would have been nice. Now I'm really craving for some comic centered around growing in self-love and self-worth, as you said ><

Minus points for this dad cause all this couldve been avoided if he just loved his daughter properly
