I don't really get it what the FMC is thinking at all if I am honest.
Even if she's the daughter of a leading vassal, it doesn't mean she can just do whatever she wants. MMC is still the big guy here, if anything he could punish them easily for being disloyal. I know its a goofy story thing but it bugs me.
