Yeah, the fingers in this manga in general look quite strange. Page 7, 11, 13 and 18 are some other pages with funny fingers.

What a twist! Has Irene finally had enough? edit: I reread the chapter (cause it was so good) and just noticed Irene actually GLARED at them?? Yes!! Go girl!!

Sara really strikes me as a reincarnater. I wonder if Irene is too, what with Sara saying that her behavior has been unexpected/unusual.

Sidenote, by 'shadows' do you mean 'spies'? Or are shadows some kind of magical spy thing

It's honestly delightful to read a story like this where the POV is a "side character". I like Ria. Thank you for your hard work, I think you're doing a wonderful job :D

So basically..... the 1st girl to annoy our MC was a reincarnator who got into the protagonist shoes, while this black haired girl is someone who reincarnated into the villainous that makes all the love targets except the original main fall for her role.... and the MC's best friend is the reincarnator who goes into the random side character role....

Did I get that right? 3 reincarnators???? And our dear MC is forced to juggle them all?

@Faello the fingers are just a little long... I feel it's better than when artist draw weird nails...

@hakunoyuuki

Well, you can think of it as spies but they didn’t directly use the word spy so I decide not to call them spy either .

The word they use is Anbu (暗部) [The same one as the ANBU in Naruto if you anyone’s ever heard of XD]

Anbu means “dark side” but idk it feels awkward to me to say “the dark side’s come to your house” or something like that so I decide to go with shadow

I tried look up but couldn’t find any instance where they call spies Anbu (except for that squad name but still not it’s definition. More like a cool gang name for spy?). That’s why I don’t use it, thinking the author intentionally wanna use that different word?

——
Though if anyone have any better understanding of the word Anbu feel free to tell me cuz my knowledge is quite limited XD

@Lafarin I see! Thank you for explaining! :D

I guess ANBU would be more like...
combined spies and assassins? Going off of Narutopedia, ANBU stands for Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai (暗殺戦術特殊部隊) meaning Special Assassination and Tactical Squad. So kinda like Black Widows I guess, to use another pop culture reference. Elite spies with murdery skills haha

Calling them "shadows" rather than "spies" does give a more ominous vibe to it! Makes them seem a lot more dangerous. I think it was a good choice

I just read a bit of the novel translation and Sara
does not sound like a reincarnator. She's just a genius who had a screw loose - until she met our MC. The other two girls sounds like reincarnators so far

Everyone talks about long fingers and all I can think about is how Rururia and Sara look too much like Hololive's Kiara and Calliope. But that's because I'm stupid.

@Cynic that's a good find.

Poor Irene. I think her boobs are driving these guys crazy. Though Rururia seems to be a popular chew toy for them too.

Sara's just sitting back and enjoying the show - and thanks to these guys noticing Rururia's charms now, she has a front row seat.

Well, Maria definitely sounds like a reincarnator. She might have thought that acting "nice" (being pushy) to Rururia was enough to set the "best friend" flag and have her lie for her in the condemnation event or similar. Rururia was busy with not flunking so she didn't pay attention. Meanwhile, Sara seems to have something to hide and likes being friends with Rururia because she's so oblivious.

I'm still not sure about Irene. The way she's surrounded by men makes it seem as if she is another reincarnator also going down the reverse harem route (reincarnated villainess maybe), but her reaction this chapter shows her being troubled by their attention. It might be that she is somewhat like Katarina, in that while trying to avoid her own death flags she ended up making the capture targets fall for her, but she isn't actually interested or trying to do it. Kind of how Rururia herself caught the interest of the king's brother by just being a reasonable person. If so, it might be that she honestly wants to make female friends of her own age, but can't because of the men surrounding her.

I hope that's the case, because then she can join the group of people that complain to Rururia about their problems.
