Early chapters for sure I was kinda like these guys tbh, "dang this prince is too pushy and possessive for a jerk who play around with women" but I keep reading and reading

Plebs, Lidi hate marrying into Royal Family because she HATE the polygamy tradition, but chad prince is willing to throw his right for polygamy just to be with her. That should wash away her reason for not marrying the crown prince. And the polygamy itself is actually unavoidable for royal family to survive, it's not their selfishness, just like you eating insects when you get lost in the forest.
But yea this heroine kinda bit stupid at some aspect and too stubborn to ran away from it.

It might be due to the phrasing coming across differently in the translation, but so far the way the prince is acting towards MC is super fucked up and very uncomfortable to read.
If the "I'm going to make sure you don't get away" thing does not get clarified as him trying super hard to make her fall for him, and not him having her marry him by force, in the next few chapters, I'm going to drop it for sure.
I really like this manga, but as of right now I just can't stand the prince. All was good until he met MC, now I can't see him as anything but an overly possessive psycho.

That's how shoujo and romance manga in general work. People love reading about people madly in love. In this case, it's a handsome prince who didn't like anyone else before chasing after the main character. He'll win over the main character, there'll be some drama, but they'll overcome it, and then there'll be a happy ending. It should be obvious. And this has nothing to do with cultural differences, the book equivalents of this are still popular everywhere.
