I really enjoyed the first 20-25 chapters. I feel like that section was fairly unique within this genre and pretty satisfying. After that, it felt like the story started to lose some self consistency and purpose so I lost interest around chapter 40. (I also feel like the art might have gotten worse but it is always hard to say).
I do find the idea of them growing together somewhat interesting and I am happy to see it got an actual ending. Maybe I will give the rest of it another shot some other day.
