I have trouble writing diversity

No storyteller can empathize with a differing group (or even their own group) 100% of the time which is fine. Sometimes a story calls for you to be genuine or objective and/or sometimes a story calls for being stereotypical or stylistic. And then you can introduce the fact that even in a diverse world, individuals of most groups tend to think with the same patterns 🤮

have you tried giving them big lips and have them be narcissistic characters? Its something that is literally never done, it'd be unique too.
