Even worse, their switching out all the time has made him experience some serious anguish at not being able to understand them(they're twins...but not the same person...so each girl would be different and that difference would be more than a little odd to him)...even thinking they weren't happy with him.

Worst part is that you can’t JUST pick one. Because this dude spent 4 years with them, he has essentially emotionally invested himself into both PLUS both ladies add up to 1 identity. The only real options are to completely break up or accept the situation as is, which isn’t exactly what he expected.
