Yes? Although I do think his birthday question isn't the best indicator. Our poor boy is a little delulu. After some sort of event, I can see him going "she's too shy to admit it".

I can't see him thinking "she think she's not good enough for me" due to his low self-esteem.

It really hurts to see him suffer and self-loathing himself.

this reads like a generic drama from over there considering how both families are absolutely insane without a shred of human characteristics, she's already coming around and more so coping with her feelings of "bathump no, stop it heart... he's just a good friend and a way to get good luck!" while he gaslit himself day 1 into believing she was already for him 100% and is feeling down for the second time in recent times after the shitshow with his own family

they'll go through 2 more volumes of this then it will be axed and we'll get a conclusion that should have been one volume
