fwiw, the stuff the dark elf used was mostly pretty generic-sounding magic, it was just high-end magic. If it works like typical copy abilities work, his copied versions would probably either be immensely weaker due to his level, or he'd fire off one and then faint due to not having a AA-rank mana pool like the dark elf had, so copying the dark elf wouldn't have been very useful. The divine summoning control thing seems like it's more an issue of the girl not being sure of herself vs just a straight stat issue, so his copy might've been more useful there.
