Being stupid is not the same as being nice. There is no reason to spread that it's "his" fault... there is little evidence and it benefits nobody. In fact, it actually can endanger people he is close too...

And his unique ability could save countless.... he hurts his credibility for no reason and makes things worse..

Yea. He is idiotic. But he is human, so it makes sense that he would choose the dumb option.

Just like in Fate. To him, just because staying silent is correct, it doesn't mean that it's right. To him at least.

Yea. It seems like at the time, he values his emotional well-being than the benefits he would get if he keptnit hidden.
