Toika sure loves to do these scenes where MC lets the enemy get stronger by devouring the dungeon or fusing so they can get more XP/loot from them.

On that note fusing dungeons will probsbly be the next thing

Goddamit not-Navi. You have already seen how OP he is, so please stop wasting half of a chapter's time nagging and bitching at the protagonist.

The little girl is so annoying. I wish she'd just let him fight stronger foes to test his abilities and get actual fighting experience instead of trying to make him take the safe route to everything.

Yeah, how dare she try to keep him alive.

It's almost like in their world, to them, tropes don't exist, and he could easily lose his life at any time to any random, stupid thing. Boy, if they just knew he was the main character, she'd feel really silly about caring over his safety.

@Kayriel The MC is defying her common sense three times every day before breakfast. She should have gotten used to that by now and know his strength.
Instead she just keeps nagging as if that was the first time she saw him fight.

@Kayriel That was until she said she doesn't care if he dies at the end there. Though anyway, she's trying to make him stronger. If she wanted to protect him she'd keep him away from the dungeons in the first place. Don't tell me she has been grinding like that her whole career too? Plus, with her knowledge she should be able to gauge his strength but so far she has only shown how ignorant she is by freaking out over everything.

Both of you are still basing these arguments on objective audience bias, from an omniscient position of the reader with context into the genre.

No matter how crazy he is, to her, he's still a mortal and if someone felt like it they could just shoot him and he'd be dead. End of story. To say nothing of powerful magical monsters and hidden traps and things he doesn't seem like he can handle as a total newbie who just happens to be ridiculously superhumanly strong.

WE know that he can do anything, and at most he gets slapped and comes back stronger. He's the main character and this is that kind of story. The characters shouldn't feel that's the case, until he's proven he's literally invincible to anything and everything. She, who has more experience and has seen more things, is worried his bravado will get him killed and all the point of raising him would become worthless - as well as her own lost chance to return to her true self and power.

@walter_vi_britannia her job was bealer, grinding from the backlines is kind of thier thing. This isnt a game where every class is manditory, so most fights she would simply be wqtching from the back.

As for gauging strength, he whole concept of strength is mana. How do you judge that which doesnt fall into your scope? Now she can test the limit of his strength through some methods but its hard when you are trying to stay low.

@kayriel knowing typical Toika contentm it will be a long time till she figures out mc will just plow through everything, then just give up on it, then later join his harem

Nicely put.
Judging by their comments, it's a little bit over the top for them to comprehend, but at least you try.

I would also add that at this point she is at least somewhat emotionally invested in the guy, so her thinking is not 100% cold steel logic. I mean, when you mother tells you to wear warm clothes, it's not like she thinks you're going to die otherwise. She's just so worried about you that taking chances for her isn't an option.

This girl is a worrisome type from the beginning, being a supporter to boot. Characters like this create a healthy duo with reckless types. Also one should bear in mind that his death would most likely mean her own death too, so by worrying about him she also worries about her well-being. The author isn't really clear about this, but so far it looks like in order to leave a dungeon one needs to clear it. Heck, I would be even more cautious and strict in her shoes.

Thanks for the chapter!
Seems Soo is really starting to wear out from MC destroying all logic and rationale about dungeons and proper strategy that she grew up and lived by. Granted I'd be frustrated too if it seemed like person I was with only cared about loot and was overlooking the danger his blithe attitude was creating. On the other hand I don't think MC is only loot driven or overestimating himself. With his method all the goblins plus the boss have been killed while he literally just stood there. Even if he powered up that spirit is going to be tired from all that fighting and now that he's in a physical form the MC can put him to rest without having been worn out from killing the small fries. Fight probably going to be another 1 hit kill and too easy for MC as it looks like the spirit was a magic user who isn't going to be very experienced with melee combat with physical power along with not being used to the strength, size, movement, extra bits (like the spikes and horns sticking out all over,) etc. of new body. In any case, there are no more goblins to run rampant even if run out of time.
