From what I've seen, titles in this kind of genre don't usually go into much detail about the MC's past. If they go into it at all it's usually with inconsequential details just to give a bit of history. I like how it was brought up here, giving Aisha more depth as a character and making her relationship with Abel more than just "he's my favourite character". Maybe being able to empathize with him in this way is one of the reasons why he became her favourite in the first place
