From what I've seen, titles in this kind of genre don't usually go into much detail about the MC's past. If they go into it at all it's usually with inconsequential details just to give a bit of history. I like how it was brought up here, giving Aisha more depth as a character and making her relationship with Abel more than just "he's my favourite character". Maybe being able to empathize with him in this way is one of the reasons why he became her favourite in the first place

as a stan myself, I think she stanned her past idol when she was a teenager and that thing continue until she reach adulthood. The idol became her comfort when she was abused, stanning gave her happiness ..... wow the author is pretty good at characterisation.

@Nayaera I believe even she didn't know the extent of the abuse in his past and that it was glossed over in the original story. Something along the lines of "he had an unfortunate childhood" or something.

She seemed to see stanning as an escape, which a lot of people do. But this empathy really does add depth to their relationship and would explain why she begins to treat him more like a mother (I assume from the title) and not just a fan.

Seeing how she was abused in the past really made me understand how she dedicated herself to stan even though she was an adult. I guess stanning is her coping mechanism, to detach herself from her painful childhood, to escape. Her character is solid. Kudos to the author (and Sawateam too for the wonderful translation).
