From memory the manga at the time was written by a 17 year old chinese girl. The art was semi-realistic and comparable in quality to the likes of shin-ichi sakamoto (most well known for his work on 'innocence'.)
The story follows a young girl in a wealthy family. Her mother died when she was young and her father remarried. Her step mother acted harshly towards her; possibly out of jealousy.
When her father passed away, a will that was kept a secret from her step mother was sent to her. Her step mother however found it first and tried her best to keep it from her. Eventually though, the girl finds the letter, and if memory serves correct she kick out her step mother.
All of this I can be sure of. Apart from that I remember some form of tension between the siblings, possible themes of self harm, etc, you get the gist.
I'm wanting to study this artist so any help means a lot.
