I noticed that it’s not possible to change the scanlation group profile picture or banner.

I’m new here and still getting familiar with MangaDex. After getting access to my scan group, I tried to customize the group profile, but I couldn’t find any option to do that.


I checked several other groups and noticed they all look the same — they have the orange cat as the profile picture and a castle image as the banner. It feels very generic and gives the group no visual identity.


I’d like to know if this option to customize group profile images doesn’t exist at the moment and is something you’re planning to add, or if it already exists but is just well hidden here on MangaDex.


The first image is the profile picture I created to use for my scan group, to give it some personality.

The second image shows how group profiles currently look, which feels very generic and lacking in style.

I want to make my scanlation group profile identical to a user profile.

The ability to customise the mainsite profile page is fairly recent (we added it ~1 month ago), but we've still haven't done the same for group pages (iirc it's on the roadmap though).

Now I know you’re working on it, and the ability to change the profile picture is already a great improvement for us users. Group customization will be more than welcome as well.
I’ll be looking forward to it—sooner or later it will come out. What matters is that you haven’t forgotten about it.
