The art style is not bad. Jeez. It's just a little simple. The storyline on the other hand is excellent so far. IMO, I don't mind the simple art if the story is this good.
Those who read the synopsis thought their eyes were playing tricks on them and slowly reread the text, as if they were deciphering an ancient language. Why did their expression have a look of disparagement and resignation before reading the first chapter?
[Tbh I don’t think the body transfer was necessary...I understood she died but.. like other than that there’s nothing wrong with her capabilities... it feels like an excuse for her to get a new body And label this as fantasy ...plus the time frame is to fast for me personally... i felt like they should have built some suspension before reborning her/spoiler] Lammmmeee Get go
I've just read the summary but like..... I'm confused. Is she going to have a love story with the guy who was her father in her previous life O.O Oh my...
The summary had me thinking she hid the fact that she was the duke's daughter, but no she just hid the fact that she was a woman, the phrasing is pretty confusing there.
Personally I think having her dying and getting transferred in that sick girl's body was completely useless. I don't see what the author was trying to do here, the story would have probably been more interesting if she kept living as Aidan.
The pacing is a bit... weird? At least in the first two chapters, the rest isn't out so I can't tell, but currently it feels a bit rushed, like you're thrown in the story with no idea what's going on and everything is happening way too fast. [Art Rant (with chap 1 spoilers?)]
About the art style, well, it's not that good. It can probably grow on you after a while, but I just to talk about the things that bothered me. In general it can feel a bit stiff and some expressions are a bit... over the top. My main problem though, is probably the CG. Not about the fact that it's used, I'm very much aware of how hard it is to draw background, especially when you need to draw one in almost every panel— No, the problem is the way they handle it. They don't seem to touch it more than the program they're using allows them to and it shows; take that panel with thunder in the first chapter for example, the lighting on the mansion just doesn't make any sense, and in the next panel (the one where you see the town from above), the rain effect they used feels weird and out of place considering they let it cover some of the buildings.
And with the rain, the coloring they used on the MC didn't really fit the ambiance, they should have used a colder shading there. The effect used on the knife was pretty cool though, and the blood effect was pretty nice too, basic, but nice. Almost makes me wish this wasn't a story about romance but a story about murder, but oh well.
[End of the Art Rant]
Anyway, the reason why I probably am not going to keep reading this is the ML. His face just makes you want to punch him and from his behavior in chapter 1, his personality is a big nuh-uh for me. And there's also the 'body swap for no reason' problem.
About the art style, I'm not a big fan, but it's still passable, if you're interested in the story it might even grow on you, who knows.
I'm sure some people out there should enjoy it, but it's not for me (and I just wanted to share my honest opinion, please don't come at my throat). Either way, thank you for the translation!
I'm kinda pissed at the art quality. The faces seem to have barely any detail in the expressions, which makes it hard to look at. Sorry artist but i think i will be dropping this series. The beginning was good though and wished we could have gotten to know the main character better and the relationship to her boss before the body-swap. The rest of the story is all rushed, which i didn't like either...
Not for me. The art doesn't bother me, I care mostly about a good plot. And this plot's not doing much for me.
The body swap seems useless and just going with the current trend. Maybe because it was so abrupt. I'd rather follow her in her original body or as a ghost.
i agree with a lot of the comments here. art is okay but the plot is really lacking. the body-swap just feels like a lazy plot-device used to create tension and drama when the premise was already interesting enough withh the MC working for 7 years and quitting. i might be motivated to find out whats going to happen next but theres like... no follow-up to the stabbing??? not even a hint??
