The Empress is a fool. While the nobility are considered such by virtue of their bloodlines, a noble house cannot hope to survive without money.

As the House of Lombardi has demonstrated, while they are of incredibly noble stock, they have cemented their power through their business acumen and the accrural of vast amounts of wealth.

The point made about what she'll have to do to acquire that money will also be very important later. :x

This idiot queen is sending him to a place ripe with the future heirs of nobles and a melting point of connections.
She doesn't have a brain. :kek:
Unlike the idiot First Prince, who's simply gathering sycophants around him and going off hunting.
I ALSO want to know.

WARNING - MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD:
The Grand Noble Houses of the Lehmbruck Empire are considered such by virtue of the amount of territory under their purview. The Empress needs to sell several territories of House Angenas in order to earn the 10,000 gold coins she needs to drive Perez to the Academy. An amount of money that vast will allow Perez to establish a financial foothold for himself, which will give him the leverage and resources he needs to ruin House Angenas financially while simultaneously reducing the Angenas's power and influence in the West.

There will be a timeskip shortly after the end of the next arc in which Perez's plans will start to bear fruit. But his actions right now serve to demonstrate both Perez's intelligence and cunning. He is setting the foundation for himself to take everything House Angenas holds dear--both the Imperial Throne and their standing as a Grand Noble House--over a period of years, starting from the age of 13.

So is this the end of "Part II" or should we expect a few more chapters in the buildup before the likely timeskip?

Also without blatant spoilers, is there an academy arc of some sort, or are we getting a outright timeskip in the aftermath of the Empress offloading the lands? (likely for our girl to scoop it in the pending firesale, ofc no need to confirm or deny)

Y’all if you truly want full spoilers, novel updates has it pretty thorough for this, and I bet you can even find decent translations floating around for the novel (it’s been fully translated at some point, idk if taken down).

in any case I also wanted to come here to cackle together at how dumb the empress is. The Angenases are greedy stock who gained power by sucking up to and playing into the emperor’s "fun" power dynamics game all the while thinking that no one would turn around and be able to do the same to them. We all know their greed will blind them and that they didn’t earn their spot through any true skill, which will be their downfall when the tides turn.

No academy arc, some time skip stuff happens. Makes sense because establishing something with that 10k gold will take a lot of grunt work (boring) and Tia is also establishing herself more as well.

If he's gonna go anyway, he might as well extort the bitch that's so eager to send him.

Now she'll have to sell off some of her assets to provide him with capital that he can invest to plot against her. She doesn't even realize that he's making her pay for her own demise.

Not only that; I bet he'll also make some plan to graduate early, so he'll be gone for a lot less time than she bargained for.
