The empress is really dumb. She probably doesn't even think about the fact that Lombardi is merit driven and not tied by tradition. She probably doesn't even consider that women are allowed to be the heir. Otherwise it'd actually have been pretty obvious a while back that Tia is likely to inherit it, and thus if skipping a generation isn't allowed Gallahan would get it.

Otherwise it'd actually have been pretty obvious a while back that Tia is likely to inherit it, and thus if skipping a generation isn't allowed Gallahan would get it.

If she could think creatively like that, she wouldn’t be herself. No, like Viese she cleaves religiously to the conventions of blood, birth order, and “purity.” By those metrics, Tia isn’t even a blip on her radar, and she must assume that Lulac thinks the same way. To her Tia is just another pawn to move around the board, which is why she was the Empress’ first candidate for marriage to Astana.

I have loading issues on my phone with chrome. I just refresh every like 15 secs. Usually by the 3rd refresh it loads in

oh it's far worse than that. Because she considers tia's bloodline unworthy and lowborn due to her mother, it doesn't even occur to her that tia might be picked as the heir.
