Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with those Japanese? Why do they always show colds as something you could faint from?

The fuck is wrong with this MC. He has a mind of a full grown adult and yet he still can't look at his girl's body.

“I wouldn’t be able to stay calm” Then don’t, yes you’re cold could return but the gains outweigh the losses

He is 100% immune to already so that's extremely dumb.
Rice porridge does not really contain anything that would help with a cold so why they keep hyping it as health food makes no sense. It's just rice! It's what they eat every bloody day, eat some vitamins or something damnit.
Since ages ago they have lived on an isolated island and refused to interact with anyone else, their food habits got whack, and that is why they are so weak to disease, as far as I've heard.
All those storys where they go to other worlds and introduce "japanise cousine" is nonsense because they have some of the worlds most uninteresting food, taste wise.
Why do they keep doing the wipe the sweat thing, thats just for erotisism right, doesn't really change anything health wise even if you stay sick for an entire week, just uncomfortable I guess.
And what's up with the cold medicine, what even is that? That doesn't exist. My guess is that it's fever reducing medicine, but hey, newsflash, fevers are good for you in like 95+% of cases, stop being whiners and just take it.
Basically what you read in manga about colds are the opposite manual of what you should do.

@Valve good thing everyone here (except for you) is reading this for a fluffy romance manga and not medical advice. also a quick google will reveal that cold medicine does indeed exist.

@Lament if you actually open what your search shows, cold medicine is not actually medicine for colds, it's medicine for cold symptoms! It does not do anything to the actual cold, rather in the case of fever reducing medicine it prolongs the cold by reducing the fever
And I found this chapter extremely lacking in fluffy romance since it was only filled with these idiot tropes and not actual romance.

Forget the cold and medicine, the way those two were acting in this chapter means they haven't done it yet? REALLY??

@Valve Well no shit it's meant for symptoms of colds. What else would it do? And since it treats cold symptoms, it's cold medicine, hence the name. I don't see how you could argue that that's not cold medicine.

Also I rather enjoyed them being an idiot couple. That's what I call fluffy romance. To each their own, I suppose.

@Valve I eat rice porridge when I'm sick because it's the only thing that I can eat when I'm sick. I eat it with shredded dried fish or salted preserved fish, pickled plums, boiled cabbage, and eggs. No idea if that combination is healthy, but it goes down easily, which is helpful when your jaw aches. Easy to make too.
Traditional Japanese food tastes amazing, but it's a hassle to prepare because of all the different dishes in a single meal. The Japanese cuisine sold in the States is nothing like what they actually eat unless you're in a city with a large immigrant population.
Also, why are you reading an ecchi series if you don't like dumb tropes? You knew exactly what this series was going to be straight from the synopsis. There are numerous series with actual romance but you're here because you enjoy this trash, like all of us. As Zizek says, "I am already eating from the trashcan all the time."

@Lament The trope is if you don't eat the medicine you 1, get worse and 2, die. This misconception is further amplified by calling it cold medicine and not what it is, fever medicine or throat medicine. Actual cold medicine can be made, the reason it's not is because the virus would have already been fought off by the people effected and changed by the time new people needs the medicine.
Basically, calling it cold medicine is spreading misinformation.

@FortniteDefaultDance I'm no expert in the subject but lots of things go into what's good to eat, generally, if you boil something you should probably drink the water you boiled it in unless you want to miss out, preserved things are likely worse than fresh because of how bacteria and whatnot transmutes food over time, unless it's very well preserved that is. Anyways, rice is basically just sugar containing very close to zero actually "healthy" components, it's energy, thats all, might as well put some sugar in a bowl and microwave it and pour it down your throat, hah.
Now all that other stuff you named, go for it, varied and not pointless calories that you already ingest in stupidly large quantitys normally.

Speaking of the chapter, I feel this chapter would be better not existing, since before this I was actually thinking this series didn't have a dickless MC and that they had actually had some physical intimicy already, but nope, now the fantasy that he has a dick and she has emotions got crushed brutally by the trope parade.

@Valve Nobody ever said someone was going to get worse and die if they didn't drink the cold medicine. I don't even get where you're going with that one; neither the story not I mentioned anything remotely close to not drinking cold medicine equating to death. You're making a straw man fallacy at best with that one. And your argument itself against the existence of cold medicine seems to be that since it doesn't completely kill the virus itself, instead only helping the symptoms, it's not cold medicine. But isn't the treatment of symptoms of a disease is what most medicines are created to do? For example, there is no cure for the herpes virus, yet there is medication, which treats the symptoms, that is duly classified as herpes medicine. One of the most common examples of cold medicine is NyQuil cold and flu. Not NyQuil throat medicine and flu. If anything, I feel you're the one spreading misinformation by denying the obvious existence of cold medicine.

On another note, people eat rice porridge not because of nutritional value, but because it's easy to eat. When you're sick, you often have a lack of appetite. But you still have to eat something, right? Rice porridge would be a lot easier to eat than any solid food and easily digested. The water content also helps rehydrate the body. I don't get what's so hard to understand about it.

@Lament I feel like you're just being contrarian and not actually having anything to say... Your arguments are meaningless, I feel you to be the kind of person that goes around acting out "people say and do bad things, but this is the best world I can imagine so I'm going to argue that other opinions are bad and if life gives you shit you just got unlucky". Now I admit that is heavily putting words in your mouth but you are seem to just be taking the opposite side to be an opposite side, making it boring to argue with you.
About what you typed last, herpes is a virus type yes, but it's not actually that similar to a cold virus...
