The whole idea of hypnotizing people into thinking they are from another world seem ridiculous, how would you hypnotize someone into believing things that there is no concept for in your own world but that at the same time turn out to be functional?, if you can recreate anything from that other world then that is kind of a sign that it isn't simply a delusion.
Then again she did say she was joking at the end.

If the memories/fantasies was more vague and imprecise then maybe it would be.
