Most likely not. She IS sick. Even if it's not terminal, she's dying from it anyway which means the doctor would have to be prescribing her the wrong medicine, essentially killing her. That would mean murder.
And you don't want to murder the person you need.
Conversely: I came here to say, I'd be deeply suspicious of her doctor right now.
There's no reason to think her doctor didn't manufacture her 'illness' (poisoning her, then lying about diagnoses) precisely to gain compliance from her for their revolution. Why wait for a 1-in-1000 chance among 30 people when you can
make it happen whenever you want?
If they aren't poisoning her, we have to accept both the 0.3% chance that the right person had a 'defect'
and the freak coincidence did
her doctor happened to be in a position to leak that information to revolutionists.
If they
are poisoning her, by contrast, all they had to get was her doctor on their side.
And we could then infer that maybe
that might not be a coincidence either—that they manufactured some leverage over her doctor as they are now over her, and that this is a whole pyramid scheme of social engineering. It makes way more sense that way.
