@scrabbleman haven't you read manga before ? that maid probably has a full kitchen set of knives under her skirt ready to launch em at our mc as soon as she isn't paying attention
Well, lets look at potential fallout.
their 'saintess' seems to be unable to heal, and believe her lies.
They tried to kill the real saintes.
So not only will this have a demoralizing effect, the common soldiers/guards know how incompetent the higher ups are now, it also puts the fake ones life in question.
but this is if this is thought out, I have no idea if it is or isnt.
@LotsOfSodaLove the abilities split, however the far more useful abilities went to the other girl.
If you are at war with a country, hitting them where it hurts most is best.
This country now not only knows they don't have the saintess, but their actions had the saintess go to a neighboring country thy are at best unfriendly at worst at ceasefire with where they will get screwed if they advance.
small edit, if they didn't announce the saintess there, they could have said its a fake and gained a moral boost.
@alidan, oh so its a ploy to prove that the fake one is fake to literally everyone in the kingdom while also breaking the enemy from the inside? That seems pretty thought out, but at the same time its probably a coincidence lmao
@LotsOfSodaLove true, but at the same time this idea didn't take much thought. if they are positioning the general as someone who is good at their job, mc may not be privy to why, but he should have considered something along these lines.
i'm using this train of thought as my barometer for how much I like this manga going forward.
@alidan, yeah I should've seen this coming since the 1st chapter lol. and since the mc is now leaving the castle, we're pretty much done with part 1 in the web novel
