If the bitch doesn't get executed on the spot after they found out she really wasn't the saintess then it's actual bullshit. Especially after knowing that you could be branded as a blasphemer and sent to your death just because you tell someone you could use healing magic.

I want Hime to be executed but I think it isn't likely to happen since she's the prince's fiancée and stuff.

Lol, now I understand why they so readily accepted to walk into what was obviously a trap. Those clowns posed no threat to them...

Before, bitch conned everyone and tried to kill her. Now, MC announced out loud that she's the real saint and that she's with the enemy. I don't know, I feel like she's asking them to kill her more, I mean, they're idiots before, but now, them losing the true saint to the enemy is worst.

I'm conflicted, excited to see what happens to Hime but also afraid that the retarded prince and royalties wouldn't do anything at all despite being so obviously conned and the entire series turns out to be a total shit show.

I'm gonna keep reading it either way tho because Anise is such a sweetie, but we'll see.

Looking at how enemy general + saintess with both healing and offensive powers using only her wills + infamously powerful magic beast kitty can go in the castle and hurt the royalty and rendered security useless then leave safely (basically they could have massacred the whole place with just 3 active party members and granpa priest with passive luck buff), from an international political standpoint I feel like nearby countries would see Farglow as a bigger threat, and so it's really not a great move either as a Farglow general or a saintess that hasn't actually got officially backed by a strong leading country just to prove her saintess identity at this point of time through this ruckus where a prince could have been killed easily...

The nearby countries that have neutral-bad relationships with Farglow may temporarily cooperate just to take down Farglow the common threat and escalate wars to a continental scale if the author want to write it that way. A better move (IMO) should have been ML getting Anise officially recognized and backed by his country secretly, build up and solidify her influence, gaining favors and deals with powerful people/factions and gathering allies internationally in secret, then when the time is right sweep up that stupid prince's country and eliminate that fake saintess bitch cleanly in one go...

But I guess that's too conventionally expected and so less drama less screentime for stupid prince and fake saintess Hime, and that's why Author doesn't want to go that direction with more politics more serious tone depths and less shoujo romance less comedy, (and so this manga is probably intended to be enjoyed for its shoujo romcom drama contents for better intended entertainment value as readers, instead of going deep into the deep mindblowing wow plots).

I can picture it now, the cliche "going mad" face. That crazy girl is gonna put her palm on her face with an eye peaking out with a gleaming effect.

I feel like Hime has the seduction power as the general and it's why the crown prince and his people believes her.

I think ML's manipulating Anise (our MC).

1. He knew Anise was powerful from the start. It's not clear if he knew that Anise had saintess powers or at least saintess-worthy powers in the beginning, but he knew he wanted her on his side. This wouldn't normally be a problem, since he's one of Farglow's generals, and that means that he's skilled at recognizing power, if not for point 2.

2. He attempted to use his charm powers to get Anise on his side. He didn't know Anise wasn't susceptible to charm in the beginning, so it's clear he did it with malicious intentions. Of course, we don't know whether he would have released his charm power on her immediately after, but this isn't likely. Why would he release his charm on her if it worked?
This was brushed off in the manga, but what if Anise had been susceptible to charm?
This also makes the priest highly suspicious too, but I'll get to that later.

3. He withheld information from Anise, and he does this constantly. Of course, for a general, this is to be expected. But he didn't tell Anise his plan to reveal her as saintess, which means that Anise had no choice but to cooperate with him when the moment came.

4. Before he attempted to use charm on her, he already knew that she wanted to be a refugee of another country. The ML is also good at reading people, and someone like Anise, who wears her intentions on her sleeve and can't lie or evade questions, doesn't stand a chance.
That means that he probably already knew that Anise didn't care for Origlow in the first place, and that his speech about Farglow "being on defense from Origlow" and "we promise to treat Origlow, your home country, right" and "we just want the war to end" was purely made to gain sympathy from her.
Not to mention that Anise didn't know that he was the general. This either means
a. She doesn't have much knowledge of the world, and ML knows this from her inability to recognize him. This supports my point. This also means that everyone is incompetent, from the guards to the prince. This doesn't support why the fake saintess was able to recognize him though.
b. The general isn't very recognizable. This supports my "priest is suspicious" theory.
c. The ML can control when and who can recognize him as part of his charm powers. This explains why only the fake saintess was able to recognize him (he allowed her to recognize him to gain sympathy from Anise). This also supports my "priest is suspicious" theory.

There is probably more, and I'll probably have a field day with finding evidence for it, but I'll leave it at that for now. Now for the priest.

1. He's an ex-soldier, and the manga doesn't specify which country he served. He probably served Farglow, judging by his ability to recognize the general. And despite being able to recognize the general, he never told Anise anything until after ML revealed it himself.

2. The ML trusted the priest enough to use charm on Anise around him. The ML could recognize skill at a glance, and that means he knew the priest was powerful, powerful enough to recognize charm when he saw it. Yet he still tried to charm Anise. This also supports point 1, where I theorized that he used to serve Farglow.

3. He allowed ML to charm Anise, only commenting on it after it failed.

4. He was able to recognize the ML as Farglow's general at a glance, despite the other characters (except fake saintess) not being able to.

Of course, it's fake saintess's fault for antagonizing Anise in the first place. From her initial attempts to kill her to her attempts to kill her now, Farglow doesn't even have to try to get her on their side. They don't even have to make opportunities to gain Anise's favor. Origlow does that for them on their own.

Unfortunately, I don't think their suspicious behavior will ever be touched upon in this manga. It seems completely self-indulgent, just Anise being powerful and destroying assholes and the country who treated her wrong. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.

A great thot slaying chapter! I would be happier of they slayed her for real.
Such a cute cat ❤
The MC is very cute.
General-kun is also cute.
Old man priest is suspicious, i think i agree to theories of him being an ex-far soldier. Might as well be Guneral-kun's old acquaintance or friend of a friend or something.

@ohyun of course the general use her, because if he gain her favour, his kingdom guaranteed prosperity and maybe they can even destroy their long time enemies and gain their wealth, even though it is a full other kingdoms fault (because they are too stupid to make a confirmation).
But Anise get an equal amount from the deal too, she is guaranteed a good life and protection, and from a woman without any family or acquintances, there is no better deal than this.
Regarding the charm, I think its just his own defensive measure, because he is a general in enemy teritory, he cant let his guard down even from a second (if you look in this or last few chapter, he even charm a man). Note I think his charm is just temporary, so he just use it to gain information rather to bind people.

AT least, From here onwards., Anise will not having an anxiety of where to hide from the Royals because of the fake Saintes.
I dont want a chapter where the fake Saintes reason out that Anise was lying, even though there are so many eye witnesses....

That general is pretty sly 😂
He just used her and declared that the real saint is on their side

This is one of those rare cases when the manga is SO much better than the WN. Anise in the WN was so meek and mild that it virtually ruined the story for me. This Anise at least has some backbone and sarcasm that it's satisfying to read about lol
