oh boy, where start? oh, the double standard yet again
just imagine both got their gender swarped, for once the "girl" wont be so different of the classic tsundere petanko of old and while I know a lot of people would find this stuff not cute anymore yet the other part wont bat an eye now and then, but other hand almost everyone would revolt against the "boy" only because he dare to be a "little touchy" with "her" and yet with the bear gag would find unforgivable (for the records, 5-7 years ago this wont be a problem at all in this media no matter which sex took what role)

and about the military stuff yes, he has the right to refuse not only due his personal choise but it would be a mess in an international scale, not to mention how suspiciously japanese (in the name too) looks the new knight
