Few notes:

-Dog = Best Boy
-Honestly your powers being amplified because of a stressful situation (ie seeing a girl who just helped you about to be raped) earlier than they should be isn't really a bad thing in my opinion because its a case of "mothers getting super strength when there's a baby under a car" kinda thing. I don't know if this is permanent, but if he can't control his powers and this is the first time we see the potential for what his power may become, then its not really that much of an issue. If he goes back to his standard powerlevel after this fight and has to learn how to achieve that fury again, then I think it would be okay.

No, chapter 10 of the novel, he nearly turns the area into a fallout of a volcano. One guy that touches him, nearly dies because his blood temperature rose to boiling.

The premise of lying nurse (because she has trauma and she thinks the kid was naive) to hide a monster was probably the most retarded shit I have ever read, and there was no indication that what she did was a well planned lie. That wasn't very smart considering the character won't even know that he is a killing machine, and if it actually works (systematically, by her report to the organization), she shouldn't be able to hide this indefinitely. If no one found out for so long, I don't even want to think how stupid the military/ and people with interests up there.
