Whether he becomes a suspect or gets the rug pulled from under him by the boss or the junior, he doesn't care at this point.
But I have to remark that the author has managed to prevent this routine from becoming stale. He has been confronted with lots of different situations and points of view, both from people whose body he possessed, and from people he has interacted with. In terms of "learning", he seems to have become more rational, less self-centered and, perhaps, a little wiser.
