This is a really weird manga ... also there's fundamental uncertainty in the universe, so determinism isn't necessarily accurate

@Goyal99Raj that only applies to quantum scale phenomena. For macroscopic phenomena, adequate determinacy still holds true. So while determinism isn’t perfectly accurate, it essentially is.

@Abdibsz For localized, small-time phenomena, determinism is (mostly) correct. However, given enough time or space (distance) will affect macroscopic events -- i.e. determinism can't be extended to predicting far-off events seamlessly. https://physicstoday.scitation.org/do/10.1063/PT.5.026775/full/ provides a useful example of macroscopic uncertainty due to quantum events, and there's more comprehensive studies available about the interaction between quantum and macroscopic fields.

This honestly gets complex because there is also ways to minimize uncertainty in some situations using entanglement. It also depends on the sensor accuracy and the likes. Because in most cases the odds of something diverging at the scale of say the solar system is very low. Multiple lifetimes of the universe low. Though honestly I wouldn't use modern day thoughts on physics on something like this simply because the principle used in a story can be anything it needs to be to make it possible. It just comes down to how much the writer thought on it.
