Regardless of the obvious, Barasui's work is very charming. Nice to see more of it translated.

One thing I find weird about the art shift is how the pages often end up looking like they didn't get enough ink in the printing process, and it's not just a issue with the online scans, I have paperback copies of the official French-language translation published by KUROKAWA of the most recent volumes and it's the same there, everything looks underprinted and I don't think it's an issue with the publisher.

I noticed this was the final chapter in volume 9 & the only one where I didn't have scanlations saved locally, and Ralen's /azu/ discussion board for Kiyohiko Azuma + Barasui had gone offline earlier this year, so I got in touch and found out this one had indeed gotten translated and was just missing from here Working on compiling a bigger IM archive now...

Barasui's still active on Twitter, or was last I checked earlier this year, so hopefully he'll release a new chapter every now and then at least. Seems Ichigo Mashimaro may be in a similar state as Senko-san, where it's sort of ended, but the artist releases new chapters occasionally when they feel like it.

Yep, the way its irregular serialization has usually worked is that it's typically on hiatus/suspension ("休載") for a while, then sometimes resumes publication a few pages at a time every month, then goes back on hiatus… I think if he were ending the series, it'd be announced, and I'd hope he'd want to draw a concluding sort of chapter rather than just ending on a random/arbitrary note. In 2021, it even resumed regular serialization for the first time in 17 years! But since this last chapter led to the release of a tankobon for the first time in 6 years I'd wager this break is going to be longer than the others. :^(
