I don't know whence so many ESL scanlators got the idea that “recommend” takes an inner and outer accusative, but it doesn't. It takes one direct object (the thing recommended); anything else involves an indirect object and hence a preposition.

Correct: “recommend a book”
Correct: “recommend a book to me”
Correct (but unusual): “recommend to me a book”
Incorrect: “recommend me a book”

That i one of most chaotic slice of life i ever read. Fun, cute and the character dynamic is pretty fresh and have a lot of room to explore too, not the samesy same 4 type of girl you usually get. Not sure why it not that popular.
