back then in the early 90's, when I first got my hands on the volumes of Appleseed, I couldn't stop telling my friends about how interesting the manga was. not just for the art, the storytelling, but also the whole concept of a cyberpunk world. just like I had been transfixed (for a while) by Frank Herbert's storytelling and in-universe with Dune
