The other day I made carbonara and spaghetti bolognese for my friends. As the cook of the friend group, I prepped a lot of things before they arrived at my house, but feeding seven hungry guys (excluding myself) is actually one hell of a nightmare for a cook.
They kept scarfing down a whole wok's worth of it and I had to go back to the supermarket to buy seconds. Especially that oh-so-great cheap ground beef I found on sale that day; the butcher managed to recognize me on the third visit the same way a meth dealer would after finding out one of his clients is starting to turn into an addict.
