...this series need a shounen ai tag. I realize that might be classified as a spoiler, but I don't like that genre and was surprised about halfway through.
I've always wanted a gender-different love rivalry in a manga that doesn't treat it like a joke, so the way this manga didn't strictly follow the shoujo or shounen-ai layout, but rather treated both characters equally, was so refreshing.
I don't understand how you could dislike all of shounen-ai though, considering there's so much variety within the genre.
