@yalnairda Think like that: how can he mature without someone to guide him or a society he can experience from? We mature because of the experiences we have in our world, he being alone in that place with no one to interact with and no books or other sources where he can spend his time with aside from training, and all that on top that he was already a bit childish before (his IQ is probably in the 90) makes plausible that he still need to actually level up in our world, since the ability he has right now is simply mechanical memory (you know, that thing you have when you do something so many times that your body automatically do it without you even thinking, maybe it has other name but I forgot).

Guys the MC isn't as complicated as everyone is making him to be. I've read the novel and his problem is simple. He's a firm believer of talent is everything and because he lacks talent he thinks he's weaker than he actually is. Basically you could say he lacks confidence in his abilities.

The MC and the other characters claim he uses a self-taught style, but wouldn't his style be based on whatever is taught in school? Is it possible that the teachers were so disappointed in him that they gave up on giving him any lessons whatsoever, forcing him to train on his own? Also, it's kind of scary how Rose managed to survive so many exchanges with him. I suspect the first 100 million years wouldn't have been enough to beat her.

Edit: Yeah, the WN translation confirms the teachers gave up on him. That means he had to "reinvent the wheel" in the training dimension.

with 100,000,000 years, I would've probably started offering the unlimited food supply to a fictional god, start a cult following with me as the sole member and try to summon the guardian deity of the joint time-suspended space, transcended the dimensional rifts and traveled to the interstellar wormhole, find ancient era people of the parallel past, teach them agriculture, domestication and architecture, build the pyramids and temples that will house the image of the guardian deity of the suspended time-space, teach them hierarchy, weaponry and colonization. I will pass down an ancient relic created from the guardian deity, a red button that shall be passed down for millennia on a self-fulfilling prophecy to generations of hermits of time until it reaches the past-present-parallel future me.
