These anthology where every chapter is its entire self contained story always feel disappointing with how much gets left out. He spared the her for MC, yet we don't get even a single panel on whether her mentality got corrected or if she sent the royal guards after realizing they're insane, etc. So many of these stories, the other characters don't have panels on the other people, don't remember what anthology it was, but the most I've seen is the replacement girl couldn't stand the violent bride training and died so ex came back for MC; one page of describing her situation was the most I can recall in any of these oneshot antho collections.

I think you just dont like short oneshots
Maybe consider not reading anthologies? Or at least this type where its multiple writers working independently on individual oneshots? You'd probably have batter luck finding what you want in works with a single writer ngl.

According to the author and artist's notes at the end, this author and artist did something for the yandere anthology? I don't remember any of the stories being very yandere in that anthology, but this story is definitely a step up. The title is well-suited for the story, too. But strangely enough, it doesn't feel very military even if the ML is wearing a uniform and in a victory parade.
